Elimination is the first step of the Low FODMAP Diet, , where individuals are instructed to eat foods that are low in FODMAP. The purpose of this phase is not to limit or restrict your diet, but rather to determine if high FODMAP foods are triggering your IBS symptoms. Over a period of 2-6 weeks, the aim is to experience no symptoms in order to progress to the subsequent phase - Reintroduction.
